Fullerton, CA Job Details Full-time $60,000 - $70,000 a year 22 hours ago Qualifications Benefits administration Professional ethics Employment law Workers' compensation insurance knowledge Cross-functional collaboration California labor law Cross-functional communication Full Job Description Position Summary The Compliance Coordinator is responsible for supporting payroll processing, maintaining payroll-related systems, and overseeing labor compliance activities for the company. This role helps ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local requirements, including California prevailing wage regulations, certified payroll reporting, and related documentation and submission standards. Primary Responsibilities 1. Partner with the Payroll Specialist to support reconciliation and maintenance of WorkMax and Service trade, the company's digital payroll systems. 2. Coordinate with Project Managers, Team Leaders, and Executive Management to ensure prevailing wage projects are initiated with all required compliance documentation in place. 3. Monitor and manage compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to prevailing wage requirements, certified payroll, and DIR reporting. 4. Prepare, submit, and track compliance documentation requested by general contractors and third-party compliance tracking organizations. 5. Ensure timely completion of monthly payroll reporting for CCIP, OCIP, and UCIP programs, including deadlines due on the 15th of each month. 6. Prepare and maintain accurate payroll records and reports, including documentation supporting fringe benefit submissions. 7. Review subcontractor compliance on prevailing wage projects and help ensure required submissions are received for monthly payment clearance. 8. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by Executive Management, including the CEO, CFO, and Controller. Knowledge and Skill Requirements 1. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. 2. Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and produce accurate work in a fast-paced environment. 3. Knowledge of payroll practices, wage structures, and benefits administration. 4. General understanding of workers' compensation, employment law, and labor compliance requirements. 5. Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and work independently with limited supervision. 6. Ability to collaborate effectively and contribute positively to department and cross-functional meetings. 7. Demonstrated integrity, accountability, credibility, and commitment to high ethical standards. Working Conditions Working conditions are typical of an office or other non-manual work environment.
