The role of the Compliance Officer is essential for the day to day operations, ensure staff productivity and requires employee to stay abreast of changes. Responsibilities are but not limited to: ◾Assist with the contract application process including the application, exhibits, insurance and other required supplemental documents. ◾Assist with monitoring and management of staff to ensure compliance and client's needs are met. ◾Assist with monitoring and ensuring all grant reports are completed and submitted timely. ◾Assist with management and maintenance of all grant and contract documents and files. ◾Maintain management of master grants calendar and database. ◾Coordinate with program managers and administrative staff as needed to complete applications, reports and other funding requests. ◾Identify changes in program activities and their effect on grant restrictions and requirements. ◾Document and improve policies and procedures that reflect best practices in the areas of grant compliance, management and reporting. ◾Assist with the annual budget and audit process; monitor and report regularly on federal funds. ◾Examines and improves audit process to prevent compliance issues or to resolve them in a timely manner. ◾Conduct interviews, scrutinizes details, and ask questions to make sure employees make every effort to stay compliant across departments. ◾Communicates confidentially with employees and address any concerns they have about ethical or other compliance matters within departments ◾Keep abreast of changes and developments in grant and government funding regulations. ◾Assist Compliance Manager with conducting internal audits. ◾Monitor and report regularly on federal funds. ◾Respond to inquiries and requests from funding agencies. ◾Perform other tasks as requested by Supervisor or Director(s) Education and/or
Work Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of four years relevant experience
  • Strong understanding of systems, policies and procedures related to contract and grant compliance
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
