Position Overview Launch your career with a paid summer internship at Salinas Valley Health, an award-winning 263-bed acute care hospital serving Monterey County. The intern will support accreditation readiness, regulatory compliance, and data management efforts by assisting with documentation, workflow organization, and performance tracking. This role includes helping maintain compliance records, supporting audit and survey preparation, and contributing to dashboard development and data entry. The intern will also collaborate with staff and stakeholders to promote continuous readiness and gain hands-on experience in healthcare quality and regulatory processes Primary Responsibilities Support accreditation readiness and regulatory compliance initiatives across departments Assist with data entry, maintenance, and validation within compliance tracking systems Help develop and update performance dashboards to monitor regulatory standards Organize and maintain compliance documentation, including evidence of performance Support audit and survey preparation by compiling materials and ensuring readiness Maintain communication logs and tracking tools for regulatory activities Assist with updating compliance calendars and tracking key deadlines Provide administrative support for policy management and regulatory workflows Collaborate with Accreditation & Regulatory staff and internal stakeholders Promote continuous readiness by supporting staff access to compliance resources and tools Program Eligibility Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate degree program Preference given to Junior and Senior-level students Must be available to participate in at least 8 weeks of the 10-week program Interns will be matched with projects based on their academic field of study Work Schedule Up to 30 hours per week Internship duration: 8-10 consecutive weeks
