Compliance Officer - Condominiums, Timeshares & Mobile Homes
Location:
Ft. Lauderdale, Florida
Schedule:
Monday - Friday | 100% Onsite

Professional office setting, business casual attire, cubicle environment Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Compliance Officer to support complaint resolution activities related to condominiums, timeshares, and mobile homes. This role involves reviewing complaints, interpreting Florida statutes, communicating with the public, documenting case activity, and ensuring timely case closure in accordance with departmental procedures and project timelines. Key Responsibilities Contact constituents and complainants to discuss filed complaints and gather relevant details. Review and interpret Florida statutes to analyze complaint validity and jurisdiction. Communicate professionally with the public while providing excellent customer service. Advise complainants regarding case status, jurisdiction determinations, and closure reasons. Provide appropriate referrals and resources when applicable. Prepare and send written correspondence upon supervisory approval. Accurately close cases by entering required codes, activities, and statutes in Versa. Document case actions and updates within the OnBase system. Maintain organized records and ensure compliance with project deadlines and procedures. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to speak, read, and understand English fluently. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to read and interpret Florida statutes. Minimum 3 years of experience working with the public in a professional environment. Minimum 1 year of experience analyzing complaints and handling public inquiries. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to commit to project timelines and assignment completion. Highly Desired Qualifications Experience using Versa Regulations with DBPR. Experience using the OnBase system. Bachelor's degree preferred. Additional Information This is a contract/temporary assignment. Benefits, PTO, and paid holidays are not provided. Candidates must successfully complete all required pre-employment screenings.
