Logistics & Trade Compliance Analyst Location:
Duluth, GA Duration:
7-Month W2 Contract initially About the Role We are seeking a Logistics & Trade Compliance Analyst to support day-to-day international trade operations across inbound and outbound logistics. This role is highly operational and detail-oriented, requiring experience with tariffs, import/export processes, and high-volume shipment coordination. This individual will manage inbound spare parts operations, maintain accurate shipment data in SAP, coordinate with customs brokers and 4PL providers, and ensure timely communication across internal teams. Key Responsibilities Inbound & Outbound Operations Process inbound shipments for serialized units, machinery, and spare parts (full ownership of spare parts inbound). Coordinate freight pickups (air, ocean, ground) based on shipment requirements. Manage outbound shipments in SAP/TMS and prepare all required export documentation. Track daily shipment activity, including departures, transit, and delivery updates. Trade Compliance & Documentation Prepare, review, and organize import/export documentation (Commercial Invoice, Packing List, BL/AWB, Certificate of Origin, etc.). Ensure accuracy and compliance of all customs documentation and filings. Prepare and submit Manifestación de Valor (Value Declaration) in VUCEM. Maintain audit-ready electronic import/export files. Systems & Data Management Update and maintain all shipment data in SAP, including order numbers and milestone tracking. Monitor transit progress, arrival timelines, and customs clearance status. Maintain dashboards and trackers for operational reporting (daily/weekly/monthly). Financial & Operational Support Validate logistics invoices, rates, and service charges. Generate Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and follow up on approvals. Record and escalate operational issues as needed. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with internal teams (production, purchasing, sales, marketing, finance) and external 4PL providers to align logistics operations with business needs. Provide shipment status updates and support internal inquiries. Core Competencies Analytical & Problem Solving Strong trade compliance and logistics knowledge, including tariff experience. Ability to analyze data, evaluate options, and drive fact-based decisions. Communication Clear and effective verbal and written communication across all organizational levels. Ability to present data and insights to diverse stakeholders. Collaboration & Interpersonal Skills Strong teamwork in cross-functional and multicultural environments. Ability to build relationships with internal teams and external partners.
