Must be flexible with business needs, including evenings/weekends/holidaysPrairie Meadows Racetrack and Casino is seeking a motivated and professional Compliance Department Intern to join our structured internship program. This internship provides hands-on exposure to regulatory compliance, operational controls, and risk management within a casino, racing, and hospitality environment. This structured internship provides practical experience in gaming compliance, cash operations, surveillance coordination, incident management, cybersecurity awareness, and operational auditing while learning how regulatory standards support daily operations across the property.

The intern will work closely with compliance leadership and operational departments while participating in a structured development program designed to build analytical, communication, and operational knowledge within the gaming and hospitality industry. What You Will DoCompliance & Regulatory OperationsAssist with compliance reviews and operational observationsLearn gaming and regulatory compliance proceduresObserve operational auditing and internal control processesReview documentation and reporting standardsSupport compliance-related administrative tasksOperational ExposureGain exposure to cage and cash operations complianceObserve surveillance coordination and incident management processesLearn security and operational risk proceduresParticipate in race day operational and backside security exposureObserve policy and procedure implementation across departmentsTechnology & Risk ManagementLearn cybersecurity and information security basicsObserve operational risk and internal control proceduresParticipate in compliance-related meetings and department spotlightsSupport operational improvement and compliance initiativesQualificationsPursuing/graduated with a degree in Criminal Justice, Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Risk Management, Hospitality, or related fieldStrong analytical and organizational skillsStrong communication and professionalismAbility to handle confidential information appropriatelyInterest in compliance, operations, or regulatory environmentsStrong attention to detailMicrosoft Office or data analysis experience preferredAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentFlexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and race days Must be able to obtain gaming license
