Job Description

The Compliance Coordinator at Boise Cascade Company will play a key role in advancing the Regulatory Affairs Department's impact across the organization. This position supports our third-party management program—including vendor and supplier due diligence—and contributes to the effective execution of regulatory initiatives. In this role, you will gain valuable industry knowledge, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and help ensure compliance with company standards and applicable regulations. The Compliance Coordinator position offers hands-on experience and immediate opportunities to add value, positioning you for ongoing professional growth within Boise Cascade.
Responsibilities:
Support implementation and ongoing administration of third-party management initiatives, reporting, systems, and technology Assist with RiskRate third party management system processes and associated projects Coordinate and support supplier due diligence activities including supplier reviews, questionaire, distribution, and reporting Maintain accurate and complete vendor records within the RiskRate platform, including data entry, status updates, and report generation Support vendor onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring required documentation are obtained and filed Track open action items, remediation activities, and follow-up tasks arriving from due diligence reviews Help identify and recommend improvement plans to address inconsistencies, compliance gaps, and inefficiencies Monitor, organize, and research regulatory guidance, examination findings, and industry trends, publications, and best practices relevant to third party risk management Perform duties, such as schedule and plan meetings; record meeting minutes, draft correspondence, write, edit, proofread documents, presentations, and reports; and assist with projects Respond to internal and external customer needs Assist with other tasks and duties as necessary Understand external compliance factors- industry trends, regulatory requirements, best practices, and expectations of important external partners Understand internal factors- existing governance, organizational structure, culture, opportunities to improve, and organizational capabilities

Ability to assess information, identify options, and make sound, timely decisions within established guidelines

Strong organizational skills, including effective time management, task prioritization, and attention to detail
Research:
Proficient in gathering, analyzing, and summarizing information from various sources to support recommendations and project needs
Communication:
Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
Collaboration:
Ability to work effectively in team settings and coordinate with multiple stakeholders
Adaptability :
Willingness to learn new processes and adapt to changing priorities
Problem Solving :
Basic analytic skills for identifying issues and contributing to solutions
Technology :
Strong Microsoft software applications experience (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint)
Preferred Qualifications:
College degree or equivalent work experience in related job position (corporate compliance, information privacy, or internal audit, human resources, or health care) Experience with supply-chain management software
