Job Description:
Global Organization has an exciting new opportunity for a Customs Compliance and Logistics Assistant. The position will report to the Compliance Manager and will have the opportunity to join a dynamic team. The position will work 3 days on site and 2 days remote. The pay target is $65k-$72k plus bonus and an incredible benefit package including health, dental vision, short and long term, life insurance, 401k with a match and PTO.

Ensure company compliance with US laws (imports/ exports/ sanctions/ forced labor, etc.)
Primary Job Duties:
  • HTS classification for US imports, US exports, and Canadian imports
  • Forced Labor investigation/ compliance
  • US Customs Reconciliation
  • Research new tariffs
  • Research new Regulations/Trade Laws
  • Assist with automation / use of AI in department
  • Update and maintain annual TSCA report
  • Review and coordinate with brokers on all post entry requests
  • Training of MAI employees on Customs Compliance
  • Coordinate with trade attorneys as needed
  • Audit Customs entries and Reconciliation filings
  • Audit Sanctions additions and vessel screening
  • Monitor Sanctions flags and update Sanctions Software Program with new additions
  • Respond to Government questionnaires and US Customs CF28/29 inquiries as needed
  • Other tasks required by their manager
Required Skills/Degrees/Certifications:
  • Microsoft Office, Adobe
  • Critical thinking/ ability to see the big picture
  • Attention to detail
  • Research
  • Knowledge of US Customs regulations preferred, Licensed Customs Broker preferred
