• Provide comprehensive and analytical support to the CEO on a variety of confidential and/or sensitive and complex personnel issues.
• Onboard all new hires with the 13th DAA including but not limited to I9's, W4's, Applications, Temporary Employee documentation, meals and overtime rules, time clock input and training, and golf cart training.
• Serve as the liaison to California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA)/Fairs and Expositions Branch, ensuring required forms and documents are submitted in a timely manner.
• Review and modify processes and procedures to improve business processes for increased efficiency, accountability, and customer service. Make recommendations to the CEO on the processes and procedures for the Administration Office, as necessary.
• Perform budget calculations by analyzing previous and current year's data to present to the Board of Directors and CEO. Verify the availability of funds and prepare financial reports for CEO's review.
• Maintain and review the general ledger and various journals to ensure information is accurate; make recommendations to CEO when there are discrepancies; make bank transactions and reconcile bank statements to ensure accurate data.
• Represent the 13th DAA at fair industry events and with other fair-related organizations.

Permanent, Full Time Department Information The Yuba-Sutter Fairgrounds & Event Center operates as the 13th District Agricultural Association (DAA), governed by a nine-member Board of Directors appointed by the Governor and managed by a CEO hired by the Board. The DAA maintains a small core staff of two full-time maintenance workers, two full-time office assistants, and one part-time accounting clerk, and hires more than 100 seasonal employees during the annual fair. The 42-acre Fairgrounds include over 50,000 square feet of building space and host more than 150 rental events annually, while also providing overnight accommodations for more than 2,000 RVs each year. The annual four-day Yuba-Sutter Fair offers agricultural, educational, and recreational experiences through competitive exhibits, family entertainment, commercial vendors, and diverse food options.
