Financial Advisory Group Operations Manager
SUPERVISES
No supervisory responsibility
SUMMARY:
Assists in assuring compliance with all department policies and procedures, as well as applicable regulations.
MAJOR DUTIESRESPONSIBILITIES
Maintains current understanding of regulations as they relate to fiduciary and compliance issues and educates the department regarding the same. Performs administrative reviews of accounts. Ensures accuracy of IRA disbursements, including required minimum distributions. Assists examiners and auditors and follows-up with recommendations. Reconciles general ledger and internal operating accounts. Analyzes and interprets a wide variety of transactions and identifies risk-related issues needing escalation to management. Recommends procedural and policy changes and assists with revising procedures and policies. Research special items and completes special projects as needed. Handles and answers customer inquiries in accordance with Brand Standards. Back-up operations duties as needed. Performs other administrative duties as assigned. Assists in oversight of Financial Advisory Group operations staff to help ensure accuracy.
EDUCATIONEXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in finance or related field or 4 years of financial/accounting related work experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of accounting principles, as well as analytical, verbal, mathematical and written communication skills Fluency in computer applications such as accounting software and Microsoft Office Programs EOE, including disability/vets
