MIT Lincoln Laboratory Position Description The Contracting Services Department at MIT Lincoln Laboratory currently has two open co-op positions for a Business/Systems Analyst. The Business/Systems Analyst will be a member of the Compliance and Data Team within the Contracting Services Department. This individual will assist the Compliance and Data Team with design, development and administration of an integrated set of procurement initiatives including B2B supplier catalogs, automated systems and processes, pioneering analytics and data visualization for the entire organization, and other initiatives in support of the Laboratory's procurement function. The selected candidate will identify customer requirements and perform the required administrative tasks, research and data analysis to make decisions and obtain stakeholder input and concurrence in support of assigned projects. This individual must have strong business acumen and analytical skills in addition to demonstrated experience working with various types of data. Familiarity and/or experience with ERP/MRP concepts, B2B systems and other e-procurement methods is a plus. May lead projects as assigned. This role offers opportunities to develop skills in analytical tools (Excel, PowerBI, etc.), web development, process automation, ERP system integration and maintenance, and many other exciting functions and responsibilities.
Duties include:
Working to establish and implement standardized business processes, interfacing with Laboratory IT Staff and various Laboratory stakeholders as required Helping to develop and enhance business intelligence required to drive procurement and materials management functions and support acquisition strategy for the Contracting Services Department Helping to communicate new policies and procedures impacting the department and Laboratory Assisting with the development of e-Commerce, data visualization, and analytics Analyzing the Laboratory's current materials management practices, policies and procedures and benchmarking against those in Industry to support ongoing development of departmental and Laboratory acquisition strategy Documenting business needs, analyzing current system capabilities and identifying gaps between business needs and existing functionality; help design and document solutions as needed Executing standard queries and ad-hoc reports as required
Requirements:
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program preferably in Business Administration, Math/Economics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field Strong Analytical/computer skills, a developed skillset with Excel, MS Office,AI LLMs,data visualization software (Power BI, Tableau, etc.), and other analytics applications An eagerness to develop skills using various programming languages - building macros, automating functions, and engineering solutions to improve process efficiencies Ability to monitor and manage an array of ServiceNow tickets, working with internal customers to troubleshoot errors and maintain efficient workflows An eagerness to challenge yourself and learn both independently and in a group setting Demonstrated track record of effectively working with highly detailed documents Demonstrated capabilities in presenting ideas written and orally are required Must be able to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously Experience/familiarity with
SAP/S4HANA/SRM

Technical Co-Op:
$25 - $32.00 per hour (based on year in school)
Administrative Co-Op:
