OF POSITION
MDH Maryland Board of Physicians 4201 Patterson Avenue Baltimore, MD 21215 Main Purpose Of Job The Board of Physicians may ask candidates to demonstrate certain skills through an assessment. Individuals selected for an interview are expected to demonstrate knowledge of center initiatives by reviewing the Board's website. The mission of the Maryland Board of Physicians is to assure quality health care in Maryland through the efficient licensure and effective discipline of health providers under its jurisdiction, by protecting and educating clients/customers and stakeholders, and enforcing the Maryland Medical Practice Act. The Compliance Analyst Associate will directly support this mission by assisting in the investigation of cases and otherpliance issues and questions of various stages and levels of investigation. This includes but is not limited to: Assisting the Intake Unit with the preliminary investigation stage of the Board process; and Assisting in the full investigation stage and thepliance issues in referrals from the Allied Health and Licensure Units of the Board in connection with applications for initial licensure and reinstatement of licensure.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
Four years of experience conducting investigations in the area of health care, insurance, medical malpractice or other related investigative experience as defined by the Maryland Board of Physicians.
Notes:
1. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university for the required experience. 2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as amissioned officer in Legal or Investigator classifications or Legal or Investigator specialty codes in the Investigation field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
The desired candidate should possess: Experience conducting investigations, research, and oral testimony. Experience withputers (specifically Microsoft Office including Excel). Experience interpreting and applying laws.
