The Prince George's County Office of Procurement is currently seeking qualified applicants to fill a Procurement Officer 3G , grade G24 , in the Contract Compliance Unit . About the Position The incumbent will conduct data analysis and draft monthly, quarterly, and/or annual reports. The incumbent works with planned and systematic processes that ensure compliance with Prince George's County legislation related to procurement and supplier utilization. Work is performed under the close supervision of the Compliance Manager. Work is evaluated in terms of analytical ability, accuracy, efficiency, completeness, and adherence to policies and procedures . About the Agency The Office of Procurement was launched on July 1, 2024, and comprises three main divisions: the Office of Accountability, Business Services, and Office of Administrative Services. These divisions will house critical functions including Contract Compliance, Contract Administration & Procurement, and Supplier Development & Diversity, formerly managed under the Office of Central Services. The Office of Procurement will help foster transparency and efficiency in our procurement process every day while also providing a high impact means to promote equity. Through the new Office of Procurement, small, local, and minority-owned businesses are supported, creating new opportunities for our residents to work in and improve the community where they live. Performs statistical analysis using standard statistical quality control methods. Develops and documents new and existing processes for capturing and reporting data related to the specific performance measures related to the various codified Prince George's County procurement policies / processes, Livable and Prevailing Wage, and other legislatively mandated regulations. Maintains and updates procurement subcontracting utilization plans into designated compliance software for tracking, monitoring, and reporting purposes. Gathering, interpreting, and reporting performance data collected from multiple sources (e.g. procurement staff, County agencies, reports, spreadsheets, databases, surveys, etc.) Assists in developing polished, high-impact, persuasive reports and presentations that accurately reflect the efficiencies and effectiveness of the Compliance Program. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to extract, analysis, and validate data related to assigned reports. Attend key meetings, as necessary and related to data sharing/reporting and compliance accountability. Monitoring and assessing compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies related to Contract Compliance, and Livable and Prevailing Wage. This includes assigned agency contracts. Utilize various software and programs (including Compliance & Certification System) to monitor diverse supplier utilization participation requirements and timely payments to contractors. Attends and represents Compliance Unit at Pre-bids, Work Initiation Conferences and other meetings as required. Assists the Compliance Manager and/or Senior Management in other duties as assigned. Conducts all County business in a professional manner and maintains confidentiality.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in computer science, mathematics, business or public administration or a closely related field At least two (2) years of experience in managing product or service testing, monitoring service levels, inspections, benchmarking, creating metrics, evaluations, IV&V, quality reports, auditing, assessments, quality control activities, interfacing with configuration management, release management, troubleshooting, problem resolution, data or information analysis An equivalent combination of education and professional purchasing experience may be accepted.
Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years of experience monitoring compliance of multiple concurrent construction and service contracts. 2+ years of experience with contract compliance monitoring software. Experience designing and facilitating instructional training for internal and external stakeholders.

Conditions of Employment :
Upon selection, the candidate must: Meet all training and performance standards and demonstrate proficiency as required by the agency. Wear and use agency protective apparel and equipment in the performance of their assigned duties, if applicable. May be required to successfully pass preemployment checks which may include reference checks, background investigations, and drug screenings, where applicable. Essential employees are expected to report during standard or non-standard hours as operations necessitate, or during emergencies. Essential employees are expected to report or remain at work when other County employees are granted Administrative Leave. Maintains a valid driver's license 6 points or less.
