Job Description

We are a growing behavioral health practice seeking a highly skilled Compliance Officer to oversee regulatory compliance and serve as the primary liaison with the Detroit Integrated Health Network (DWIHN). This role is critical in ensuring adherence to contractual, state, and federal requirements while supporting high-quality clinical and administrative operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact with DWIHN regarding compliance, audits, and contractual obligations. Monitor and ensure adherence to DWIHN policies, Medicaid requirements, and applicable state/federal regulations. Lead internal audits, mock reviews, and quality assurance activities. Oversee incident reporting, corrective action plans, and risk management processes. Collaborate with clinical and administrative leadership to ensure readiness for site visits and audits. Track and respond to all DWIHN communications, including data requests and corrective actions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum 1-3 years of experience in healthcare compliance, preferably in behavioral health. Direct experience working with DWIHN or similar
PIHP/CMH
systems strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of Medicaid, HIPAA, and Michigan mental health code requirements. Experience with audits, accreditation processes, and quality improvement initiatives. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in outpatient behavioral health or community mental health settings.
