Job Description
Serves as an analyst with responsibility for activities related to the statewide impaired driving program portions of the Annual Grant Application. Plan, implement and develop grants with state and local agencies, oversee and evaluate grant programs. This position assists managerial/program staff, industry, community groups and governmental agencies in identifying and developing programs statewide and regionally to address the problem of impaired driving in the state of Michigan. This position participates in the Office of Highway Safety Planning meetings at local, regional, state and national levels. This position must function in a bias free manner.

The Michigan State Police (MSP) is a full-service policing agency with statewide jurisdiction, providing over 60 different services either directly to Michigan residents or in support of other law enforcement agencies. The MSP personnel most visible to the public are the uniform troopers whose primary responsibilities include traffic enforcement, crime prevention and investigation, and community engagement and service. Education Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major. Experience Departmental Analyst 9 No specific type or amount is required. Departmental Analyst 10 One year of professional experience. Departmental Analyst P11 Two years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate (10) level in state service. Departmental Analyst 9 - 12 Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and the equivalent of at least two years of full-time active-duty experience at or above the E-6 level in the uniformed services may be substituted for the education requirement.This position requires passing a pre-employment screening, including passing a drug screen, criminal history background check, and a fingerprint check by the Michigan State Police.
