Position details Position title Compliance Coordinator Reports to Senior Compliance Coordinator Classification Full-Time / Exempt / Salaried Position overview The Compliance Coordinator is on the front lines of our department's mission: ensuring every Range USA firearm transaction complies with all regulations through oversight, training, and standards. This field-based, multi-unit role requires auditing compliance records, coaching store employees, and serving as the ATF and 4473 subject matter expert for an assigned territory. Travel required.

Curious — ask questions, find and solve problems Passionate — care deeply about the brand, team, and customers Do it Right — take pride in accuracy and credibility Service — put others above ourselves Key responsibilities Audit & Compliance Audits all 4473 forms for accuracy and completeness in accordance with local, state, and federal law, including verifying that all forms where no transfer occurred are maintained and filed correctly, that the bound book has been reconciled, and that all multi-sale forms have been submitted to the appropriate agencies Verifies all frames and receivers are properly identified with warning labels Conducts quarterly Asset Protection cash on hand counts and submits results to the appropriate team Completes quarterly NFA audits across all assigned stores Ensures error correction sheets are acted upon promptly and all forms are properly archived Operations & Reporting Monitors and responds to help desk tickets within 24 hours Reviews all compliance-related metrics and dashboards Budgets, manages, and reports expenses within company guidelines Training & Coaching Trains, coaches, and guides store employees to consistently meet 4473 and ATF compliance standards Leads monthly recap calls with each store in the territory to review and discuss audit results Works closely with District Leaders to build consistency across assigned stores by participating in their weekly calls to communicate new policies, procedures, laws, and ATF-related news Conducts monthly Hip Pocket trainings with store staff to support ongoing learning and retraining Develops and updates training and procedure documents Communication & Relationships Builds and maintains strong working relationships with ATF partners during inspections and trainings Serves as an active participant in the weekly compliance Level 10 meeting, communicating territory-wide issues and driving problem resolution Participates in special projects such as deep dives, trainings, meetings and conferences, and combination audits Serves as the compliance subject matter expert for the assigned territory Desired skills & experience Associate degree in Business Management or a related field preferred Strong execution skills — ability to deliver results within expected timeframes Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Strong verbal and written communication skills, applied to foster a collaborative training environment between the coordinator and store team Demonstrated ethical conduct Proven problem-solving and analytical ability Effective multi-tasking, prioritization, and time management Ability and willingness to travel regularly within an assigned territory Employee benefits Medical, Dental, and Vision health insurance Unlimited Shooting - Free Classes Industry-leading online and in-store discounts Manufacturer rewards and points program No firearm experience needed — we offer paid training This job description may be updated as needed and is not all-inclusive of expected duties and responsibilities.
