Position Location North Carolina, US Hiring Range $45,000- $55,000 Pay Band Information To learn more about the pay band for this branch and role, please see the Career Banding rates spreadsheet.
- Processing common international transactions (travel, physical exports, telework, visa requests, affiliate requests, foreign visits, government reporting, Electronic Export Information filing and billing, etc.); assisting with the review of more complex transactions.
- Assisting the more senior staff with the review of research activities, foreign collaborations, sponsor guidelines, and related legal agreements, as well as with the management of Technology Control Plans (TCPs) and faculty attestations establishing required EC and RS controls.
- Conducting Restricted Party Screening (RPS) and adjudicating alerts.
- Assisting the more senior staff with the export/import classification of goods and information, as applicable, and related government agency interactions.
- Recordkeeping and maintaining activity metrics.
- Contributing to the training and awareness efforts, including assisting the more senior staff with the development of training materials and maintaining resources such as forms, guidance documents, and webpages.
- Assisting the more senior staff with the carrying out of strategic development initiatives (policy/process revisions, development of business management tools and applications, web content creation, etc.).
- Working collaboratively with the key University organizations and external parties on EC
- and RS-related matters.
- Actively seeking out and participating in professional development opportunities.
- Performing other duties as assigned. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. Management Preferences
- Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, triage and otherwise manage workflows in a fast-paced office setting, often dealing with sensitive and critical issues.
- Experience managing workflows and developing process improvements in an office environment.
