The Office of Risk and Compliance is responsible for implementing the compliance and enterprise risk management programs at Fayetteville State University. The Office of Risk and Compliance assists the university in carrying out its mission by managing its ethical, legal, and regulatory responsibilities. Primary Purpose of the Position:
Primary Purpose of the Position:
The University Program Associate will provide administrative and case management support to the Office of Risk and Compliance. The individual will be responsible for managing intake for compliance concerns and compliance, coordinating compliance monitoring, and investigating complaints of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation, including Title IS reports from students, faculty, and staff. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. Knowledge skills and abilities:
Demonstrated ability to handle complex situations, particularly situations that require a high level of confidentiality and discretion. Excellent communication skills, particularly written communication skills, with all levels of the university community. Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail. Ability to handle a significant caseload, prioritize work effectively, and manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities. Experience with building effective partnerships with diverse constituencies. Experience following complex processes that are established by law or policy. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to produce clear and succinct investigative reports. Knowledge of trauma-informed investigative techniques. Ability to independently conduct thorough interviews and interact professionally with campus administration, faculty, staff, and students. Ability to gather, analyze, and synthesize information and data from multiple sources, clearly and concisely summarizing investigative findings in a written report. Strong critical thinking and analytical skills to determine whether a policy violation occurred by the applicable standard of evidence, present investigative findings, and respond appropriately to questions. Ability to comprehend and assess complex issues rapidly and accurately, interpreting and applying relevant university policies, procedures, state/federal EEO policies, and regulations Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree from an accredited institution. Six months of demonstrated experience in processes involving incident response and/or investigation and resolution of student or employment complaints. Title IX-related training or certification through a nationally recognized organization; demonstrated knowledge of Title IX investigations; experience working on civil rights investigations of discrimination, harassment, or violence; experience working in a higher education setting.
