Job Description

Must be a current Nebraska law enforcement official Part-time, Contract Flexible Hours! Computer Evidence Specialists is looking for reliable, detail-oriented individuals to assist Underage Purchasers in performing non-confrontational compliance checks on local tobacco retailers to ensure the sale of tobacco products to Underage Purchasers is restricted. The inspection is used to establish a retailer's compliance with federal regulations. Inspectors are required to be current Nebraska law enforcement officials. This work is conducted on a part-time, case-volume basis with flexibility relevant to the individual's schedule. An ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and a flexible schedule.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Travel with an Underage Purchaser; identify and verify provided site address Facilitate and observe undercover buys in coordination with trained Underage Purchasers Collect evidence of violations, such as photographs and tobacco products Complete compliance check inspection forms, detailing any violations, when applicable Review retailers for compliance of advertising & labeling signage Required qualifications/skills: Must be a current Nebraska law enforcement official with a valid Peace Officer's license Reliable transportation All Compliance Inspectors will complete a training session Attention to detail and strict adherence to deadlines and privacy Must be able to undergo a security clearance background check and become credentialed by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). $25.50-$30.43 per hour. This role is subject to federal service contract labor standards. Mileage reimbursement is provided at the current GSA rate.
