• Interviews are anticipated to be conducted within two weeks of closing date. Due to the available budget allocated for this position, the hiring rate will not exceed $31.50 per hour. Why does the job exist? This position will review, interpret State Personnel Board (SPB) Rules, agency policies and/or applicable laws and verify records, processes and internal controls as they relate to the facility audit operations and to the contractor scope of work. Additionally, this position will provide for the assurance of compliance with American Corrections Association (ACA), and other applicable standards through continuous operations monitoring. This position will provide oversight and direction regarding the implementation and compliance of the Federal Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA). How does it get done? Collects and files documentation from department heads on a quarterly basis in order to determine compliance with American Correctional Association Standards and Prison Rape Elimination Act Standards. Monitors prison operations and provides reports on findings to the facility Warden and the Department's Central Office. Completes compliance reports and provides findings to the requesting Department or Division. Coordinate and assist in development, updates and distribution of department policies, procedures, and post orders. Who are the customers? Adult Prisons Division and Internal Audits and Standards Compliance Bureau Ideal Candidate Adult Prisons Division and Internal Audits and Standards Compliance Bureau Minimum Qualification Bachelor's degree in any field of study from an accredited college or university and one (1) year of experience in investigations, regulation, policy, statutory, and/or contract compliance. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling five (5) years may substitute for the required education and experience Employment Requirements This position is designated a safety sensitive position. Employment is subject to a pre-employment and random drug testing, in accordance with all terms and conditions of federal and state law, rules and regulations in relation to alcohol and/or drug testing. Working Conditions Work is performed in an adult prison environment, which includes daily contact with inmates.
