Job Description
Trade Compliance Specialist | FTZ No C2C Hybrid | Bethlehem, PA 3-Month Contract (Chance of extension) $40-$60/hr. (DOE) Position Overview Pharmaceutical manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Trade Compliance Specialist for a 3-month engagement to support active workstreams across import/export operations, Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) administration, classification, and compliance program build-out. The contractor will work closely with the US Supply Chain team and partner with the OneSource (Thomson Reuters) implementation team on in-flight initiatives.
Scope of Work Denied Party Screening :
Partner with our vendor on a project team to support the ongoing DPS implementation and build out an internal audit program to validate screening coverage and recordkeeping.Duty Drawback:
Identify drawback opportunities across company's import/export activity, develop and submit claims, and document the supporting recordkeeping framework.Trade Compliance Program :
Help structure and document company's overall trade compliance program, including written policies, SOPs, roles and responsibilities, and audit cadence.Tariff and Duty Impact Analysis :
Assess the impact of tariff policy changes (e.g., Section 232 pharmaceutical, country-specific actions) on company's portfolio and provide written summaries to support business decisions.HTS Product Classification :
Complete and validate Harmonized Tariff Schedule classifications for product data being loaded into theSAP HANA
environment. Required Qualifications 5-7 years of US trade compliance experience with hands-on responsibility across import, and export. Demonstrated experience with HTS classification , duty drawback program development, and Denied Party Screening workflows. Experience with trade compliance technology platforms; (Global Trade Management) experience strongly preferred. Strong written documentation skills for SOPs, policies, and audit procedures.Desired Qualifications:
Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) , Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) , or Certified Export Specialist (CES) credential. Pharmaceutical or regulated industry experience. Working knowledge of SAP , ideally HANA , for material master and classification data. #MPG1Similar jobs in Bethlehem, PA
