$55,000-$90,000 General Description The International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE) is the world's leading accreditor for mission-driven, outcomes-based business programs. In contrast to accreditation bodies that heavily emphasize faculty research or rigid input metrics, the IACBE evaluates academic quality based on actual student outcomes relative to the specific mission of each individual member. At IACBE, our members are unique - in culture, structure, and mission - and ensuring excellence never requires changing identity. Reporting directly to the President and working closely with the Accreditation Director, the Accreditation Specialist helps provide day-to-day operational leadership, project management and member support. This role helps ensure that accreditation operations - including member mentorship, site-visit facilitation, training activities, accreditation reporting and compliance review - are executed accurately, effectively and in full alignment with the IACBE strategy and culture. The Specialist is responsible for supporting IACBE members in the true spirit of the IACBE and is expected to professionally represent the Council.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
• Master's Degree 3 years' experience in higher education academic assessment at the institutional or programmatic level. This includes, but is not limited to: preparation of assessment documentation, development of assessment processes, and direct engagement in continuous improvement Demonstrated experience directly related to the responsibilities outlined Success working effectively with a distributed team Demonstrated ability to identify and implement operational efficiencies High level project management and multi-tasking skills Established ability to effectively work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment Excellent presentation and communication skills
Preferred:
Extensive knowledge of global higher education trends PhD in institutional research, higher education administration, organizational leadership, or business-related field Working knowledge of IACBE Principles and policies An appropriate combination of experience and education may substitute for any of the required qualifications .
Position Responsibility Outline Accreditation Operations & Compliance Management:
o Serve as the primary contact for questions and requests from IACBE Members o Review Member accreditation activity applications and submissions o Conduct compliance reviews to ensure Member alignment with the IACBE's accreditation principles, policies, and procedures o Help lead logistical execution of Site Visits (e.g. scheduling, planning) to ensure effective technical reviews o Review and help produce Accreditation notifications and Report of Findings documentation o Serve as the IACBE representative on certificate, candidacy, accreditation site visits as requested o Maintain and organize accreditation timelines, calendars, and compliance matrices o Maintain critical and confidential data related to compliance o Prepare data summaries, evidence bundles, and structured documentation related to compliance reports and submissions o Assist in ensuring full compliance with CHEA standards and requirements o Provide general support to the IACBE President and Director of Accreditation as needed
Continuous Improvement:
o Assist and help manage improvements to manuals, policies, and processes o Identify opportunities for accreditation process improvements, and partner with appropriate staff to implement solutions o Participate in on-going professional development to stay current on international trends in accreditation o Monitor global policy and regulatory updates
Member Support & Training:
o Serve as an accreditation mentor, assisting Members through the various accreditation and compliance processes o Mentor members through resolution of areas of non-compliance o Work with the Accreditation Director to develop and conduct various training programs and workshops o Manage special projects related to training, support and accreditation General Responsibilities o Attend, support, and participate in the IACBE's Annual Conference and Assembly Meeting (ACAM) o Participate in the IACBE's Regional Conferences as appropriate o Work with the IACBE staff on other assembly matters as needed o Complete duties and special projects as assigned by the President Application Process To apply, please submit the following materials to iacbe@iacbe.org with the subject line "Accreditation Specialist".
