  • Job Summary Foley Family Wines has an immediate opening for a full-time Compliance Specialist

  • at the Corporate Office located in Santa Rosa, CA.
The ideal candidate will have a background in alcohol beverage compliance with a focus on Spirits, attention to detail, organizational excellence and ability to work within tight deadlines in a fast-paced collaborative driven team environment. These are some of the essential skills needed to drive continuous improvement to the business and succeed in this position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Act as first point of contact for all for spirits related compliance inquires. Provide solid guidance to internal and external stakeholders for the label design & creation process for spirits. Submission and tracking of Formula and COLA applications with TTB for spirits products. Lead market ready compliance for all spirits products to include processing brand/product registration, distributor appointment/termination, control state codes (NABCA) and territory agreements. Lead preparations and filing of all spirits related regulatory reports as required at the Federal and State level. Support preparing and submission of alcohol beverage licenses (Wine & Spirits) as needed. Includes updates of corporate/owner information and obtaining new and/or canceling licenses as deemed necessary. Support the maintenance and update of standard regulatory compliance software systems used for tracking and sole source for license, product, brand/label registrations and order fulfillment. Assist with preparing, validating, submission and tracking of regulatory filings for wine to include new permits, amendments, and reporting as needed. Assist with general department administrative duties as needed. May include filing, scanning, electronic file management, expense report reconciliation and email correspondence. Assist with department projects that may include acquisitions, exclusive agency agreements and other company initiatives. Utilize industry specific tools and available resources to perform research and stay current on spirits related compliance issues, trends and developments. Other duties as assigned. Required Knowledge, Skills & Other Abilities Understanding of spirits labeling requirements (commodity statements, class/type designation, formula requirements, etc.). Understanding of spirits regulatory reporting requirements. Excellent written and oral communication skills; attention to detail and responsiveness. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and high level of integrity Thrive in a deadline driven, fast paced team environment. Ability to identify & implement areas of process & work-flow improvements. Excellent time management skills required Interact professionally and collaboratively with team members, other departments and outside regulatory agencies. Strong Excel knowledge and the ability to analyze data and prepare spreadsheets for reporting and other compliance functions. Embrace Company Core Values

Education & Experience Minimum 2 years of alcohol beverage compliance experience, spirits experience highly desired High school graduate, some college desirable Proficient with MS Office Products Experience with industry and ERP systems: ShipCompliant, Whiskey Systems and Business Central (BC) Notary Public Commission or ability to obtain.
