Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Customs Entry Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing the import and export documentation process, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, and facilitating smooth customs clearance for international shipments. Your expertise will help optimize supply chain operations, mitigate risks, and uphold the highest standards of regulatory adherence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment where precision and proactive problem-solving are essential. Duties Prepare and submit accurate customs entries, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations including FDA (Food and Drug Administration) guidelines and OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards. Coordinate with freight carriers, customs brokers, and internal teams to facilitate timely clearance of shipments. Review shipping documentation such as bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and regulatory reports to verify accuracy and completeness. Monitor shipment statuses, troubleshoot delays or discrepancies, and communicate proactively with stakeholders to resolve issues swiftly. Maintain comprehensive records of customs entries, regulatory filings, risk assessments, and compliance reports for audit purposes. Stay updated on changes in trade laws, FDA regulations, and transportation management policies to ensure ongoing compliance. Assist in risk management activities by identifying potential compliance issues and implementing corrective actions to minimize liabilities. Requirements Proven experience in customs brokerage, freight forwarding, or supply chain logistics with a focus on customs entry procedures. Strong knowledge of OSHA safety protocols, FDA regulations related to imported goods, and transportation management systems. Familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements and compliance management practices within international shipping operations. Excellent report writing skills with the ability to document processes clearly and accurately. Ability to coordinate across multiple departments including fleet management, warehouse operations, and legal teams. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple shipments simultaneously while maintaining accuracy. Effective communication skills for liaising with carriers, government agencies, and internal stakeholders. $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
