Employment Partners, LLC is looking for a self-motivated, exceptional team player to join our team as the Licensing and Compliance Coordinator. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements, particularly those governing Professional Employer Organizations (PEOs). The Licensing and Compliance Coordinator will oversee licensing processes, manage regulatory filings, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain compliance. PRIMARY DUTIES
| RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and oversee state licensing requirements and renewals for the PEO. Prepare and submit PEO registration applications for new and existing markets. Handle local business license applications and ensure compliance with locality-specific requirements. Maintain and update internal compliance databases with current licensing and registration statuses. Collaborate with the IRS to file necessary applications, maintain tax compliance, and address issues related to federal filings. Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory authorities, including state workforce agencies, unemployment offices, and other governing bodies. Monitor regulatory changes at the state, local, and federal levels, assessing their impact on PEO operations. Develop and document processes to ensure timely and accurate completion of applications, filings, and renewals. Liaise with internal teams to gather necessary documentation for compliance processes, including financials, legal documents, and operational information. Assist in preparing for audits conducted by regulatory agencies. Conduct periodic internal reviews to ensure the organization remains compliant with licensing and operational requirements. Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies regarding licensing and compliance inquiries. Collaborate with internal and external departments, including, legal, finance, and operations, to address compliance-related issues. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
: Preference will be given to candidates who have the following: Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize work to meet deadlines. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Criminal Justice. A Paralegal Certificate preferred. 3+ years of experience in compliance, legal or regulatory roles, preferably within or in support of a PEO, payroll, or HR services organization. Understanding of state and federal regulatory requirements for PEOs, including IRS and state-specific licensing processes. Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills for identifying and addressing compliance risks. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and compliance management software. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
