Job Description

Description Vendor Compliance
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION
To ensure vendor compliance for incoming product shipments is met and maintained to meet company goals and initiatives.
MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY
Works as a liaison between the Inventory Planners and vendors to reconcile vendor compliance issues. Enters non-compliance data into the Warehouse Management System. Provides vendors/merchants with documentation, both written and visual, outlining packaging or barcode issues via email. Researches and respond to vendor's/corporate merchant's requests regarding previous non-compliance issues. Provide documentation as required. Runs receiving paperwork, adjust purchase orders when product quantity exceeds amount documented on original purchase order. Maintains daily spreadsheet record of monthly vendor non-compliance issues and Domestic Load Cube percentage. Checks daily receiving paperwork for discrepancies and/or non-compliance issues. Sorts and files verified receiving worksheets on a daily basis. Faxes documentation of non-compliance issues to vendors without email notification access. Compiles all freight bills, except YRC copies, and ensures they are packaged and shipped to the corporate traffic department. Checks with Receivers regarding any non-compliance issue. Checks Receiving dock for any obvious non-compliance issues, i.e. pallet issues, insufficient information on cartons, carton quantity issues. Performs receiving daily audit samples. Researches aged/lost puts as needed. Oversees and maintains UPS receiving area. Expedites receipts and resolves receiving discrepancy issues. Works safely and complies with all established safety rules and practices. Follows standard operating procedures when performing job. Keeps supervisor informed of important developments, potential problems, and related information necessary for effective management. Coordinates and communicates plans and activities with others, as appropriate, to ensure a coordinated work effort and team approach. Performs related work as apparent or assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. At least 3 years of experience in related position or field. Ability to work a schedule based on the understanding of responsibilities and priorities. Ability to accurately read and match numbers. Ability to understand and follow verbal and written directions and communicate to personnel at all levels. Ability to operate Dock stocker, Reach Truck, Turret truck and Stock Picker. Ability to track data and produce reports using Excel, Word and Access programs. Working knowledge of AS 400. Proficient data entry skills. Ability to operate Radio Frequency scanning equipment. Ability to maintain a positive attitude and work in a manner that promotes a safe working environment. Ability to contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Ability to obtain equipment license or power equipment certification as required. Demonstrates Northern Tool + Equipment's 12 Core Competencies.

Ability to stand and walk throughout the facility during required length of the shift. Frequently required bend, stoop, push and pull objects. Regularly required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities include depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to talk and hear. Ability to lift up to 70-100 pounds on a continuous basis. Ability to work at heights up to 35 feet. Ability to operate forklift, motorized pallet jack or other power equipment as necessary.
