Full Job Description Description:
Under the direction of the VP of Social Services, the Compliance Specialist will be responsible for monitoring performance metrics, evaluating service quality, and continuous improvement initiatives. The role analyzes data, identifies trends, and collaborates with the team to strengthen program outcomes, compliance, and efficiency to clients in the Connections service area. Qualifications Masters degree in social work or a closely related field is required. Minimum of four years of social work experience. Supervisory Responsibilities There are no supervisory requirements for this position. Essential Job Functions Identify performance gaps and recommend actionable improvements within the foster care program. Support leadership with data-driven decision-making and recommendations. Implement tracking tool for grant reporting for compliance. Monitor and track performance care days to make strategic program decisions. Successfully complete training DCS's Performance Base Contracting Model. Track Resource Home Eligibility Team (RHET) program & standards with Recruitment staff and implement new processes for compliance. Coordinate with PQI to make program recommendations through data driven outputs. Provide training as assigned to increase program's performance. Monitor PME/Licensing results to suggest improvements for program overall effectiveness Track program's acceptance and denial rates for performance base outcomes. Review audited files from staff to establish root cause analysis and make recommendations for improvement. Work closely with program managers and supervisors to accomplish program goals. Provide training on quality standards results, performance expectations and data. Maintain statistical data to improve programmatic PBC outcomes. Contributes with successful completion of state, federal, and COA standards. Review and follow-up on incident reports, placement breaks, movements, disruptions, etc. Assist with special projects for the program staff, children, and foster parents. Assist VP Social Services with maintaining/developing acceptable standards of practice in the program in accordance with appropriate state, federal, local and contractual guidelines, rules and regulations. Contributes to team effort by performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Knowledge of foster care and adoption provider policies and standards for Tennessee. Ability to implement best practices social services in the program. High attention to detail and accuracy. Possess strong analytical skills. Oral and written communications skills to effectively communicate with diverse groups. Excellent documentation and reporting skills. Detail oriented. Proficiency with data tools to include computer skills include word processing, spreadsheets, database management, e-mail, and the Internet. Ability to perceive and deal with sensitive issues while maintaining confidentiality and objectivity. Recordkeeping skills to maintain legible, accurate, up-to-date files so that information is readily researched and retrieved. Organizational skills to determine workload and to oversee multiple priorities effectively. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across various teams. Ability to work as a team player and interact and assist all employees as necessary. Must be able to attend after hours, weekends, and special events to support the department. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to verbally converse and comprehend effectively. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Work in a non-smoking area Special Conditions This position requires a valid driver's license, a good driving record with appropriate level of automobile insurance. Function on call for emergencies.
