JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a detail-oriented Product Stewardship & Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join our team in Brenham, TX. This position plays a critical role in ensuring product safety, regulatory compliance, and hazard communication for chemical products and formulations.

The ideal candidate will have experience creating and maintaining Safety Data Sheets (SDSs), conducting hazard classifications, interpreting OSHA and global regulatory standards, and supporting cross-functional teams with compliance-related initiatives. This role works closely with R D, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, and Operations to ensure products meet regulatory requirements and customer expectations.
ESSENTIAL JOB
FUNCTIONSCreate, review, revise, and maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) and product labels for chemical products and mixtures.

Ensure compliance with OSHA Hazard Communication Standards (HazCom), GHS, WHMIS, and other applicable regulatory requirements.

Perform hazard classifications and determine appropriate hazard statements, pictograms, signal words, and precautionary statements.

Evaluate product formulations for regulatory compliance and chemical inventory status.

Develop and maintain transportation classifications, including DOT, IATA, IMDG, and Transport Canada requirements.

Support domestic and international product compliance initiatives.

Conduct VOC calculations and compliance assessments for product formulations.

Respond to customer inquiries regarding SDSs, product compliance, and regulatory documentation.

Assist with regulatory audits, inspections, questionnaires, and product stewardship activities.

Maintain accurate records supporting hazard classifications, transportation determinations, and compliance decisions.

Utilize SDS authoring software and ERP systems to manage product and regulatory information.

Analyze compliance-related data using Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and reporting tools.

Leverage AI-enabled productivity tools and automation technologies to improve efficiency, data quality, and workflow processes.

Review and validate AI-generated content to ensure technical accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Collaborate with R D, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, and Operations teams to support product lifecycle management and compliance objectives.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Experience creating and authoring Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) is required.

Background in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Toxicology, Occupational Health, Regulatory Affairs, EHS, Quality, or a related field.

Strong knowledge of OSHA Hazard Communication Standards, GHS classifications, and global regulatory requirements.

Experience with hazard communication, product stewardship, regulatory compliance, or chemical safety programs.

Familiarity with transportation regulations including DOT, IATA, IMDG, and Transport Canada is preferred.

Experience working with ERP systems such as
SAP EHS, SAP
S/4HANA, Oracle, or similar platforms.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, data analysis, and reporting.

Experience utilizing AI-enabled productivity tools and data management systems.
