Lab Quality/Compliance Specialist, FT Days (56392) El Paso Childrens Hospital - El Paso, TX 79905; Multi-Specialty Center - El Paso, TX 79905 Apply Overview Level Entry Position Type Full Time Job Shift Day Education Level 4 Year Degree Category Health Care Apply Description Under general direction, coordinates quality assessment and improvement activities, safety and regulatory compliance, staff education and competency.
Qualifications Work Experience:
Four years of Supervisory experience.
License/Registration/Certification:
ASCP Certified Education and Training:
Bachelor of Science in a related discipline.
Skills:
Strong computer skills including programming, mapping, and knowledge of instrumentation. L.I.S. and H.I.S. interfaces. Strong communication skills as a presenter. Strong problem-solving skills including ability to focus on the situations and use sound judgement based on technical know-how, departmental policies, and procedures and arrive at a timely solution. Strong verbal and writing skills to build and maintain effective working relationships with EMR, Physicians, Nurse, Health Unit Coordinators, H.R., M.I.S., Engineering, Guest Services, Texas Tech, vendors and off campus clients. Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical health workers. Strong Customer Service skills with an emphasis on telephone communication. Ability to handle continual change and stressful situations. Ability to organize and store voluminous amounts of information and retrieve rarely used information upon demand. Ability to multitask.
