SAFETY COORDINATOR

The Safety Coordinator will help lead and elevate our safety culture across our dealerships. This isn't just a compliance role, it's an opportunity to make a real impact by protecting teams, shaping job site practices, and championing safety every single day. If you're a strong communicator, confident in the field, and energized by creating safer workplaces, this role is for you. Essential Duties Works with current Safety & Compliance vendor to implement recommended improvements. Ensures dealerships are in compliance with safety policies and procedures according to local, state and federal OSHA rules and regulations. Oversees developed safety programs and that training is being completed by all required employees. Maintains the dealership hazard communication program. Coordinates training programs or media that will promote safety consciousness; teaches safe practices and ensures that they are followed. Participates in the investigation of accidents and injuries and cooperates in the preparation of material and evidence for dealership use in hearings, lawsuits and insurance investigations. Compiles and submits accident reports required by regulatory agencies. Oversees the administration of the workers' compensation program, including working with the insurance carrier to cut down on lost employee time and cut back on unjust claims. Studies and analyzes causes of dealership accidents and health hazards and prepares reports for use by dealership personnel and outside agencies. Maintains safety files and records. Maintains professional appearance. Attends managers meetings as requested. Other tasks as assigned.

This role routinely uses standard office equipment. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work is primarily Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Travel to different dealerships as necessary. Education and/or Experience Associates degree and/or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bilingual in Spanish preferred
