JOB SUMMARY
The Training & Compliance Specialist is the architect of our safety-first culture. In this role, you will develop, manage, and execute company-wide training programs that ensure our team is safe, compliant, and audit-ready. This is a high-impact, "boots-on-the-ground" role where you will bridge the gap between regulatory requirements and operational excellence. From managing LMS data to mitigating field risks, your work directly influences employee performance and company safety standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent experience) and a minimum of 2 years in training and compliance. Prior experience in the Marine and/or Oil & Gas industries is strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory safety standards is required. Mastery of LMS platforms and content development software. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel/PowerPoint). Required experience with contractor management systems (ISNetworld, Veriforce, and/or Avetta). Must possess a valid TWIC card and Passport (or be able to obtain both within 30 days of hire). Resolute focus on results, high integrity, and the flexibility to manage multiple shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and maintain a comprehensive training strategy that aligns with operational needs, safety standards, and workforce planning. Standardize training processes and quality standards. Develop, review, and approve training materials and schedules for both field and office personnel. Oversee the LMS content library and act as the primary administrator for contractor management systems (ISNetworld, Veriforce, Avetta). Ensure all training records, certifications, and documentation are accurate, current, and prepared for internal or regulatory audits. Collaborate with Safety Leadership to reinforce a safety-first culture and partner with Operations to implement DOT policies and procedures. Track training effectiveness and ROI. Use data to build business cases for new initiatives and provide leadership with actionable dashboards and reports. Serve as the point of contact for training gaps and compliance risks; support onboarding and readiness training for new hires. Other duties as assigned by management.
SHIFT INFORMATION
Standard hours are Monday-Friday (0730-1630). However, candidates must be flexible to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as operational needs dictate.
