Job Description

Summary:
Coordinate and document internal regulatory processes, such as internal audits, inspections, license renewals, or registrations. May compile and prepare materials for submission to regulatory agencies. Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for implementing and tracking all changes to existing products including formulas, ingredients, product specifications, and label changes on all existing items
  • Obtain and maintain current label approvals when implementing changes to products, including the submission of label applications through LSAS ’ Needs to be able to have a valid account with the USDA as an "agent"
  • Help to maintain R&D Sample Delivery Schedule for all outgoing R&D requests.
  • Provide support to the Product Development team.
  • Up to date with ongoing USDA label regulations and changes; must be proficient in navigating the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) ’ Must have the ability to implement these changes in the most efficient and cost-effective way possible.
  • Support various departments involved with regulatory affairs.
  • Experience with BRC/SQF audit process.
  • Ability to learn and navigate various online databases for customer specification and labeling submissions.
’ ProSpec, HIVE, 1WorldSync, Optimum software etc. ’ Genesis software for nutritional analysis Education / Skills /
Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in food science, Animal Science or related field
  • 3+ years of USDA regulatory labeling practices
  • Professional level of written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Expert level skills in Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
  • Detail Oriented
  • Knowledge of USDA Food Labeling regulations and changes
  • Familiarity with submitting labels to FSIS through LSAS
  • Basic Photoshop skills
  • Be able to meet background requirements
Pay:
$0.01 - $35.00 per hour
