Job Description

Citadel Insurance is looking for top talent to join our team as a Compliance Analyst in our Surplus Lines Department . We are an energetic, team-driven, fast paced and rapidly growing organization who seeks to celebrate success and reward results. Compliance Analyst is a critical member of our compliance team and is responsible for: Reconciliation of premium and taxes between management system and reporting system to ensure accuracy. Responsible for accurate and on time preparation of premium tax reports. Review premium contracts, ensuring compliance with state regulations. Communicating with internal staff, retail agents, and state agencies to ensure compliance of contracts and reports. Facilitate ongoing compliance management for any technical and operational gaps. Advise on ad-hoc compliance questions from internal and external producers. Processing tax payments as needed to state insurance departments and recording payments through management system. Provides backup and assistance to complete other accounting and compliance tasks as needed.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software. Experience with Adobe Acrobat.
Education and Experience:
Associates Degree in Accounting or equivalent Accounting experience. Surplus lines operations experience preferred. Prior tax filing experience preferred.
Ideal team member would possess:
Associate degree preferred; equivalent experience and knowledge considered. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software. Surplus lines operations experience. Tax filing experience.
