SUMMARY:
The Compliance Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the Executive Compliance Director in maintaining organizational compliance with applicable federal, state, licensing, accreditation, and payer requirements. This position is responsible for gathering, organizing, tracking, and maintaining compliance-related documentation, assisting with audits and investigations, monitoring regulatory requirements, and supporting ongoing quality assurance and compliance initiatives across the organization. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, able to manage confidential information, and capable of coordinating multiple projects in a fast-paced healthcare and behavioral health environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Compliance Administration Assist the Executive Compliance Director with daily compliance operations and special projects. Gather, organize, and maintain compliance-related records and documentation. Track compliance deadlines, corrective action plans, training requirements, and regulatory submissions. Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and compliance tracking tools as requested. Maintain accurate electronic and physical filing systems for compliance records. Assist with preparation and submission of documentation requested by regulatory agencies, licensing entities, auditors, and accrediting organizations. Regulatory and Administrative Rule Monitoring Research federal, state, and local regulations applicable to behavioral health services. Assist in reviewing administrative rules, licensing standards, and policy updates. Compile regulatory information and provide summaries for leadership review. Maintain regulatory resource libraries and compliance reference materials. Audits and Investigations Assist with internal audits, quality assurance reviews, and compliance monitoring activities. Gather documentation and evidence for internal investigations and regulatory reviews. Track audit findings and corrective action items. Follow up with departments to obtain requested documentation and ensure timely completion of action items. Documentation Management Maintain compliance databases, logs, and tracking systems. Ensure policies, procedures, forms, and compliance documents remain current and organized. Support document control processes, including version tracking and distribution. Assist in maintaining employee compliance records, certifications, and required training documentation. Training and Communication Coordinate compliance training schedules and documentation. Assist with preparing training materials, presentations, and educational resources. Communicate compliance-related requests and deadlines to department leaders and staff. Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, and document meeting minutes when needed. Administrative Support Manage calendars, meeting coordination, and project timelines for the Executive Compliance Director. Prepare correspondence, reports, and presentations. Assist with data entry, record retention, and general administrative functions. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Administration, Legal Studies, Compliance, or related field. Minimum of 1 year of administrative, compliance, healthcare, or regulatory experience preferred. Experience working in behavioral health, healthcare, human services, or regulated industries is preferred. Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check
Pay:
$19.00 - $22.00 per hour
