Job Description
GENERAL SUMMARY
The Inflation Reduction Act Analyst will support the compliance, preparation, analysis, and integration of programs related to the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). The IRA Analyst will collaborate with project stakeholders and the Corporate Finance department staff to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and seamless integration of IRA provisions within company operations. The position will act as primary analyst leading the company-wide evaluation and implementation of various clean energy benefits under the IRA. The IRA Analyst will lead coordination with external contractors, advisors, and support staff to ensure timely and accurate tax filings.PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Program Preparation and Analysis:
Assist in the preparation of applications, financial documentation, and reports for government grant opportunities under the IRA. Analyze the financial impact of IRA programs on the organization. Communicate analysis, milestone progress, and challenges to Executive Leadership and Project Stakeholders. Coordinate with various project owners across Agency to assist with IRA education and implementation support. Work directly with internal stakeholders, including project managers, compliance officers, and the Corporate Finance department, to integrate IRA-related financial strategies into business operations. Integration of IRA Provisions (Establishing Standards): Support the integration of IRA incentives into company projects and financial models, ensuring alignment with both federal guidelines and corporate objectives. Establish new processes associated with IRA implementation to ensure sustainability and predictable operations. Identify opportunities for process improvements to streamline grant application and compliance activities related to IRA programs. Coordinate with external advisors and supporting contractors to implement sustainable processes, procedures, and governing policies to guide Agency decision making and compliance.Compliance Management:
Oversee and ensure compliance with the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) provisions, working closely with legal, human resources, supply chain and finance teams to interpret and implement regulatory requirements. Lead cross-functional teams and project teams to ensure sufficient documentation and processes exist to support audit requirements and expectations. Coordinate with Corporate Finance departments on audit preparedness and document retention. Financial /Project Reporting:
Prepare and analyze financial data related to IRA programs, ensuring accurate reporting for internal and external stakeholders. Provide insight into grant performance, expenditures, and compliance metrics. Establish project specific reporting standards to communicate with project stakeholders, Executive Leadership, and Governing Boards.Regulatory Research & Benchmarking:
Stay up to date with changes in government regulations related to the IRA and advise leadership on potential impacts to current projects or strategies. Coordinate benchmarking activities with Public Power partners, local and national industry groups to understand lessons learned and align with best practices. Other assignments and projects as requested by the Strategic Finance Manager, Treasury & Strategic Finance Manager / Director or the Chief Financial Officer. Must participate on the Emergency Response team (ERO) when designated. Must support the biennial refueling outageREQUIRED EDUCATON AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree with a technical emphasis in project management, accounting, finance, economics, business operations/industrial management, data analytics, or other related technical degree from an accredited college or university and seven years of progressive finance experience OR Associate's degree in project management, business or related field from accredited college or university AND nine years of experience in a technical field OR High School Diploma/GED and eleven years of experience in a technical field.- Pay Range
- $106,670.
Annual Midpoint:
$133,338.00 Typically, selected candidates are hired between the minimum and midpoint of the range, based on applicable experience and qualifications, market rate, internal equity, and budgetary allowances. Offers will be negotiated based on each candidate's qualifications.- Incentive Compensation
- This role may be eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan. Incentives are earned based on employee performance against defined metrics and company goals.
