Job Description
AgWest Farm Credit is a member-owned financial cooperative that provides financing and related services to farmers, ranchers, agribusinesses, commercial fishermen, timber producers, rural homeowners and crop insurance customers in a seven-state territory in the Western United States. We serve customers in 59 locations throughout the West. We are in search of an Entity Certification Analyst I or Entity Certification Analyst II to join our Loan and Lein Document Administration department in Spokane, Washington. This full-time position reports to the Manager, Entity Certification and is responsible for analyzing and certifying borrower entity documentation to support loan origination and servicing. Compensation Information The base salary range for this position in Spokane, Washington is:
Level I:
Typical starting range: $53,600 - $71,900 Full base salary range: $53,600 - $90,400 Annual performance-based incentive target is 8% of base.Level II:
Typical starting range: $66,200 - $88,700 Full base salary range: $66,200 - $99,900 Annual performance-based incentive target is 10% of base. Essential Duties Review and evaluate borrower entity documentation to validate formation, good standing, authority to borrow, guarantee, pledge assets, and authority to execute loan documents. Analyze organizational documents to identify material issues that could affect the enforceability of loan documentation and provide recommended remediation pathways. Partner with attorneys regarding entity certification issues, complex matters, and alignment on risk/requirements. Interact with lending staff and other internal stakeholders to obtain clarification, provide guidance in collecting supporting documentation, and resolve certification issues in a timely manner. Prepare and complete internal entity certification forms, and draft custom borrowing authorizations and incumbency certificates, as needed. Support ongoing updates to procedures, checklists, and best-practice guides. Assist with developing materials and training of lending staff on entity certification processes. Perform all duties and maintain all standards in accordance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls. Other duties as assigned. Travel Requirements AgWest employees may occasionally be asked to travel for all-staff or team meetings not included in the standard travel requirements for the role. Minimum Qualifications Associate's degree, paralegal certification or equivalent experience and/or training Prior paralegal or loan documentation experience Demonstrated knowledge of business entities - corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, limited partnerships and trusts - and experience reviewing organizational and formation documents Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with effective written and verbal communication; demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management abilities High attention to detail Read, write and present general business information at an advanced level Preferred Qualifications Understanding of legal requirements for securing loans with real and personal property under real estate law and the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) Working knowledge of commercial lending documentation and closing processes Workplace Flexibility After an initial in-office training period, this position is eligible for workplace flexibility and a one-time home office stipend.
