  • Full-time SUMMARY Using industry standards and regulatory guidance, this position supports compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and related regulations, consumer compliance and other risk management functions by providing administrative and clerical support to the Risk Management Department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform research for the clearing or escalation of alerts generated from the Bank's automated BSA system as well as from branches and other departments to identify and monitor potential suspicious activity for SAR reporting.
  • Assist Retail and other departments by addressing BSA related questions on account opening and transaction processing. Perform quality reviews on the Enhanced Due Diligence forms completed by the branches.
  • Prepare Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs) for timely submission with attention to accuracy and completeness.
  • Evaluates requests for new designations of customer Phase I and II CTR exemptions for recommendation and/or continued eligibility.
  • Reviews daily validation reports.
  • Reviews 314(a) reports downloaded from FinCEN and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) alerts for customer matches and reporting.
  • Assist branches and departments with determination of potential OFAC matches.
  • Prepare meeting minutes for BSA committee meetings
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Attends applicable compliance training to maintain a working knowledge of all laws and regulations related to BSA. Completes other assigned training with passing scores.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality of sensitive confidential information.
  • Works independently or in a team environment to complete assigned tasks.
  • Follows all Riverview policies and procedures.
  • Participates in and completes training objectives with passing scores.
  • Other duties as assigned.
RELATIONSHIPS
  • Frequent contact with branch/department personnel as well as other management staff in providing information regarding risk evaluations, research and investigations.
  • Frequent contact with BSA Officer and BSA Specialists, for progress updates on assigned reviews, projects and tasks.

EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 3 years of banking experience required
SKILLS:
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex information, laws and regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from Executive, managers and employees.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
  • Strong judgment and reasoning abilities are required to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Strong skills with MS Office applications: Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Proficient in time management with ability to organize projects, assess priorities and work well under pressure to meet hard deadlines.
  • Ability to work with close attention to detail and to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
