$24.66 to $36.99 Actual pay will be based on various factors, such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, proficiency for the role, and internal equity. In addition to base pay, Kwik Trip gives 40% of pre-tax profits back to our coworkers with bonuses ranging from 8-12% of each coworker's gross annual wage depending on company profitability and offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401k, paid time off, and more. We're looking for a detail‑driven, curious, and collaborative Payroll Tax & Compliance Analyst to join our Payroll team. In this role, you'll help ensure accurate payroll processing for more than 39,000 coworkers across multiple states while keeping our organization compliant with federal and state tax regulations. If you enjoy problem‑solving, working with data, and staying ahead of regulatory changes, this is a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact. What You'll Do Process federal 941 tax payments and state withholding payments on schedule. Review, audit, and submit quarterly and annual filings, including Unemployment, W‑2s, 940s, and state annual returns. Ensure all filings are accurate, timely, and compliant with regulations. Review time records, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure accurate gross‑to‑net calculations. Stay current on federal and state payroll laws using IRS.gov, state websites, Bloomberg BNA, Payroll Org, and other resources. Research regulatory changes and help implement required updates in our systems and processes. Partner with Talent Partnerships on payroll‑related cases, including settlements or timekeeping issues. Review monthly tax software updates and determine their impact. What You Bring 4-6 years of multi‑state payroll experience required. Associate degree in Business, HR, or Accounting preferred. Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is a plus. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines. Experience with payroll systems (SuccessFactors, UKG, ServiceNow, JIRA). Ability to maintain confidentiality and communicate professionally.
