Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Credit Analyst to join our financial services team. In this role, you will evaluate credit data and financial statements to determine the risk involved in lending money or extending credit to individuals or businesses. Your expertise will help us make informed decisions that balance growth opportunities with risk management, ensuring the stability and profitability of our lending portfolio. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your analytical skills, financial acumen, and negotiation abilities in a fast-paced environment dedicated to responsible lending. Duties Conduct comprehensive credit analysis by collecting and analyzing financial data, including cash flow statements, balance sheets, and income statements. Evaluate the creditworthiness of potential clients through detailed risk analysis and financial modeling techniques. Prepare detailed credit reports and summaries that clearly communicate findings and recommendations for approval or further review. Underwrite loan applications by assessing borrower's financial health, industry trends, and market conditions using quantitative research methods. Monitor existing portfolios to identify signs of potential default or fraud, implementing preventative measures as needed. Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as loan officers and compliance to ensure adherence to policies and regulatory standards. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field Proven experience in financial analysis, credit analysis, or underwriting within financial services or banking sectors. Strong understanding of financial concepts including cash flow analysis, risk assessment, and financial modeling techniques. Proficiency with financial software tools and advanced Excel skills for data collection and quantitative analysis. Excellent mathematical skills combined with a solid grasp of accounting principles and technical accounting practices. Ability to interpret complex financial reports and forecast future performance using forecasting methods. Effective negotiation skills paired with strong communication abilities to articulate findings clearly and persuasively.
Pay:
$40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per yearBenefits:
