Chief Credit Officer Ledgent Finance & Accounting - 4.0 Los Angeles, CA Job Details Full-time $180,000 - $230,000 a year 1 day ago Qualifications Commercial banking expertise Commercial lending Full Job Description SUMMARY Under general direction from Chief Executive Officer and the Board of Directors' Loan Committee, Chief Credit Officer has overall responsibility for the maintenance and monitoring of the quality of the Bank's lending portfolio. DUTIES Define, evaluate and formulate all underwriting standards, lending practices, policies and objectives. Establish loan portfolio concentration limit, monitoring and control procedures to meet regulatory requirement. Provide training to lending personnel to comply with loan underwriting guideline. Participate in developing and maintaining loan relationship and contribute to the development and growth of loan portfolio and investment assets. Ensure final underwriting standard and quality of the loan portfolio and supervise loan documentation and note operations. Assist loan department managers in training and assume leadership to obtain a high level of performance by loan personnel. Direct overall lending compliance activities in accordance with the Bank's business strategy. Establish comprehensive risk management framework for the entire loan portfolio and related assets. Assess soundness of the loan portfolio and advise on policy issues and business development; monitor and maintain the loan portfolio's quality and profitability. Manage loan policy exceptions and devise appropriate risk control measures. Act as the principal spokesperson for the lending function and serve as the main coordinator for the loan committee; respond and communicate with internal and external auditors, including regulatory agencies. Assist and engage effective actions to ensure timely recovery of non-performing assets and OREO. Responsible for the allowance for credit losses program/CECL on a quarterly basis. Responsible for formulating the Banks Stress Testing program on a semi-annual basis. Contribute to team effort to accomplish related results as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
MBA or bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related discipline is required.
Experience:
At least 15 to 20 years of experience in commercial banking industry with 7 to 10 years of experience in commercial lending, including line of credit, real estate term loan, construction loan, and loan underwriting All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
