Credit Analyst Ives Bank Danbury, CT Job Details Full-time 4 hours ago Qualifications Microsoft Excel Underwriting Bachelor's degree Accounting Productivity software Full Job Description The Commercial Credit Analyst is responsible for successfully evaluating the financial condition of commercial borrowers, underwriting loan requests and preparing a timely and high-quality credit approval memorandum, adhering to the Bank's credit policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze financial information of prospective and existing borrowers and underwrite commercial loans in conformance with Loan Policy, including loan renewals, loan modifications and Loan Reviews Spread and analyze financial information, and develop cash flows of prospective and existing borrowers Prepare credit approval memorandums, analyzing financial, collateral, cash flow and other appropriate information of borrower's and guarantors, assessing credit risk, if credit-worthy, underwriting in conformance with Loan Policy and presenting loan requests to appropriate loan authority level Analyze and make recommendations to management regarding credit issues Work directly with Commercial Lending Officers to obtain all necessary information needed to underwrite loan requests Communicate with borrowers, accountants, management and bank staff as needed for credit investigations Is aware of and complies with
CRA/HMDA
Guidelines/Flood Insurance/Appraisal Regulations and adheres to Bank policies and procedures on such issues. Perform other duties as required.
Educational and Experience Requirements include:
A bachelor's degree is required preferably in business or finance with ancillary banking education preferred. Minimum 1 year of related commercial underwriting experience. Knowledge of financial statement fundamentals, accounting concepts, and industry trends and practices required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Critical thinking and evaluation skills.
