Compensation:
$175,000 - $250,000/year + bonusLocation:
Stamford, CT Schedule:
Monday to Friday (In-Office) Atlantic Group is hiring a Senior Controller (Credit Funds) in Stamford, CT for our client, supporting fund accounting, financial reporting, and oversight of credit-focused investment vehicles. This role manages day-to-day accounting and reporting across private credit funds and separately managed accounts, with a focus on structured products, leverage facilities, and investor reporting. The position offers exposure to complex credit strategies and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities as the Senior Controller (Credit Funds):Fund Oversight:
Manage accounting and reporting activities across credit funds and related investment structures.Financial Reporting:
Review GAAP financial statements, disclosures, and performance reporting.Administrator Management:
Oversee fund administrators during quarterly and annual close cycles.Audit Coordination:
Lead audit processes and respond to auditor inquiries.Valuation Support:
Assist with valuation processes and review supporting analyses.Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with finance, investment, tax, and investor relations teams on reporting and analysis. Qualifications for the Senior Controller (Credit Funds):Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required, CPA strongly preferred.Experience:
10-15 years of experience in fund accounting or controllership roles within credit-focused environments.Industry Knowledge:
Experience with credit funds, CLOs, or structured products required.Technical Skills:
Advanced Excel skills with experience in financial reporting and fund accounting systems.Skills & Attributes:
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with a high level of ownership.Application Notice:
