Pay & Benefits $16.00 - $18.00 per hour Paid Time Off Closed on Sundays Employee discounts Health & retirement benefits (may vary by location) Position Overview We're looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Credit Manager to support store operations and manage customer accounts. In this role, you'll work closely with the General Manager to ensure strong account performance, maintain customer relationships, and support overall store success. This is a hands-on leadership role with opportunities to grow into higher-level management positions. This is an in-person position. What You'll Do Manage customer accounts, including payments, renewals, and collections Build and maintain positive relationships with customers Communicate with customers regarding account status and payment options Ensure company standards for account performance and collections are met Maintain accurate records of customer agreements and transactions Review reports and monitor account activity Support sales efforts and help drive overall store performance Assist with scheduling, task delegation, and daily operations Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations Training & Development You'll receive hands-on training and be cross-trained in all aspects of store operations, preparing you for future leadership opportunities within the company. Requirements/Responsibilities Requirements Strong organizational and time management skills Experience in collections, account management, or accounts receivable Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to resolve conflicts and handle sensitive conversations professionally Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities Comfortable learning and using point-of-sale (POS) systems Professional appearance and demeanor Reliable with consistent attendance, including evenings and weekends as needed Must meet eligibility requirements to operate a company vehicle (including driving record and insurability requirements) Education & Experience Minimum of 2 years of experience in retail, collections, account management, or a customer-focused environment Experience in the Rent-to-Own industry is a plus Background in credit analysis or collections preferred Physical Requirements Ability to lift, load, and move merchandise using equipment (items may weigh up to 300 lbs with assistance) Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting Ability to navigate stairs while handling furniture, appliances, and electronics Comfortable with extended periods of standing and driving Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments, including varying weather conditions Additional Information Buddy's Home Furnishings is an Equal Opportunity Employer and a Drug-Free Workplace Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check, including driving record and drug screening Special Instructions Please do not send any emails, resumes, or call.
