Full Job Description South Tampa Branch Manager Role:
To direct the operations of a medium size Credit Union facility (usually 1 to 4 people), ensuring the branch meets organizational financial, operational, service, and growth plans. The Branch Manager has limited lending authority. Responsible for coaching all staff in sales performance to achieve corporate goals. Responsible for business development and goal criteria for the branch as appropriate in its relationships with members, sponsor organizations(s), suppliers, other financial institutions, and similar groups. Out of Office Business development Activities include physical driving to various businesses with the purpose of meeting with individuals and bringing awareness of the credit union, developing relationships, and gaining new members. Planning and attending functions and events which may require lifting and carrying of supplies for the event (Promo items, etc.). Required to attend in-person sales/service training at the Corporate Training Office in Tampa. Monitors branch operating results relative to established objectives and ensure that the appropriate steps are taken to correct unsatisfactory conditions. Controls past due and charged off accounts for the branch. Underwrites consumer loans up to the amount assigned per credit union policy. Monitors all branch activities to ensure they are in compliance with established credit union policies and procedures. Responsible for insuring that the completion of a CTR for every cash transaction received and/or disbursed exceeding $10,000.00. This is inclusive of multiple cash transactions that are done on behalf of the same person in one business day, and the manager has knowledge of such a transaction. After the CTR is complete it must be approved by the Manager before forwarding the completed form to the operations team for final approval. In addition, it is the responsibility of the Manager to make the compliance officer aware of any suspicious conduct and/or transactions that they feel are warranted. The compliance officer will make the determination of whether a SAR should be generated after reviewing the information. Directs, develops, coaches, motivates, hires and disciplines branch personnel; administers performance evaluations and recommends appropriate personnel actions. To coach and reinforce the sales and service culture within the credit union. To develop sales and service skills necessary to cross sell credit union products/services to our members. All employees are made aware of their responsibilities under theBSA/CIP/OFAC
regulations with continuing training, to ensure that they adhere to our internal policy and procedures. Performs other related duties as assigned.Knowledge and Skills Experience:
Two to five years of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions.Education/Certifications/Licenses:
Requires NMLS and 02-29 CREDIT Insurance License Appointment, OR Successful Application, Issuance, and Appointment of NMLS and 02-29 CREDIT License Within 90 Days to be Eligible for Continued Employment.Interpersonal Skills:
A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) become necessary.
