Job Description
Overview This is an opportunity to join a leading multi-strategy investment firm operating a "pod" model, where multiple portfolio managers trade across asset classes including credit, equities, and macro. The firm manages a large, global platform designed to deliver consistent, uncorrelated returns, with a strong focus on risk management, technology, and performance-driven results. Within this environment, the Credit Operations team plays a key role in directly supporting front office trading activity. Sitting within a fast-paced middle office function, this role offers close interaction with portfolio managers and traders across a wide range of credit and structured products. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate trade execution, smooth settlements, and strong operational control, while also contributing to process improvements and automation initiatives that enhance efficiency and scalability. Responsibilities Manage the full lifecycle of credit trades, including trade capture, affirmation, matching, settlement, and expiry across products such as CDS/CDX, CLOs, CMBS, MBS, repos, and cash bonds Oversee daily settlements and proactively resolve trade breaks and fails by coordinating with prime brokers and executing brokers Partner closely with PnL control teams to investigate and resolve discrepancies, ensuring accurate pricing, trade setup, and system alignment with counterparties and clearing platforms Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, fund administrators, and other external counterparties through regular interaction Collaborate with front office and technology teams to enhance operational workflows, improve efficiency, and drive automation initiatives Contribute to process improvements that support scalability, control, and overall operational stability in a fast-paced environment Qualifications 5-7 years of relevant experience within an investment bank, hedge fund, asset manager, or fund administrator Strong understanding of global financial markets and trade lifecycle processes Experience with structured credit products (e.g., CDS, CLOs, securitized products) strongly preferred Proven ability to work cross-functionally with front office, technology, and external stakeholders in a high-performance environment
