Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data, perform comprehensive data collection, and utilize financial software for accurate analysis. Manage portfolio quality by monitoring loan performance, identifying potential fraud risks, and implementing fraud prevention and detection measures. Provide expert guidance on complex credit issues, including mortgage servicing, technical accounting considerations, and tax implications. Maintain compliance with banking regulations and industry standards while continuously refining underwriting criteria to adapt to market changes. Prepare detailed financial reports and documentation that support credit decisions and strategic planning initiatives. Experience Proven experience in underwriting within the financial services sector, with a strong background in credit analysis and risk management. Extensive knowledge of financial concepts including financial analysis, cash flow analysis, and financial modeling techniques. Demonstrated expertise in negotiation skills to structure deals that balance risk with opportunity effectively. Familiarity with loan origination processes, mortgage servicing practices, and loan processing systems. Hands-on experience utilizing financial software tools for quantitative research and data analysis. Strong understanding of banking operations, portfolio management strategies, technical accounting principles, and fraud detection methods. Prior experience in roles requiring forecasting accuracy, financial report writing, and comprehensive understanding of accounting standards.
