Job Description

Position Summary The Credit Analyst is responsible for analyzing financial information, assessing creditworthiness, preparing loan presentations, and supporting lending officers in evaluating risk associated with new and existing credit relationships. This role will work closely with commercial lenders, mortgage lending teams, underwriting, and executive management to help ensure sound lending decisions aligned with bank policies and regulatory expectations. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Analyze personal, business, and commercial financial statements, tax returns, cash flows, and supporting credit documentation. Prepare detailed credit memorandums and loan presentations for management and loan committee review. Evaluate borrower repayment capacity, collateral adequacy, liquidity, leverage, and overall credit risk. ssist lenders with structuring loan requests and identifying strengths and weaknesses within credit relationships. Conduct industry, market, and trend analysis related to borrower operations. Maintain ongoing portfolio monitoring and annual credit reviews. Assist with covenant tracking, financial spreading, and risk rating assignments. Review and verify supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness. Ensure compliance with internal loan policy, banking regulations, and underwriting standards. Communicate professionally with lenders, management, auditors, examiners, and customers when necessary. Support special projects, reporting, and portfolio management initiatives as assigned. Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field preferred. Minimum of 2-5 years of banking, credit analysis, underwriting, accounting, or financial analysis experience preferred. Experience with commercial lending and/or community banking strongly preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong financial analysis and analytical reasoning skills. Ability to interpret tax returns, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Understanding of commercial credit principles and lending practices. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment. Preferred Qualifications Experience in commercial real estate (CRE), commercial & industrial (C&I), or residential lending analysis. Familiarity with banking regulations and loan review processes. Experience with loan origination or spreading software.
Pay:
$95,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
