Job Description
Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Credit Analyst to join our community bank team in Pembroke, North Carolina. This role is responsible for evaluating the creditworthiness of individuals and businesses, supporting loan officers in underwriting decisions, and helping maintain the overall quality of the bank's loan portfolio.Key Responsibilities:
Analyze financial statements, tax returns, and credit reports to assess borrower risk Prepare credit memoranda and loan presentations Assist lenders with structuring loans and identifying risks Monitor existing loan relationships and identify potential credit issues Ensure compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements Maintain accurate credit files and documentationRequired Skills:
Strong financial analysis and problem-solving skills Knowledge of financial statements and cash flow analysis Attention to detail and accuracy Effective written and verbal communication skills Organizational and time management abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial tools Understanding of credit principles and risk assessmentEducation and Experience:
Bachelor's degree (four-year college degree) in Business, Finance, or related field required Experience in banking or credit analysis preferred but not mandatoryWork Environment:
