Job Description

Description Summary:
Our Commercial Real Estate Group has an excellent entry level position available for an individual looking to gain more experience in the commercial real estate lending field.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Gather and analyze all financial and business information to determine credit worthiness for loans. Prepare a written evaluation of borrowers' financial condition and future outlook, as well as identify strengths and risks associated with our relationship sponsors and guarantors. Obtain and follow up on all required documents. Monitor financial reporting requirements and obtain and analyze financial and loan information. This position generally leads to a career in commercial real estate lending, either as a portfolio manager or relationship manager, and will include sales in either position. Performs other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in
Business, Accounting, Finance Preferred Qualifications:
Related internship/work experience in finance or banking preferred. Related internship/work experience in a Commercial Real Estate environment preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including grammar and demeanor, required. Confidence, assertiveness, professionalism, and ability to interact with all levels of the organization. This position will require successful completion of Huntington's Credit College (3 consecutive weeks in Columbus, Ohio) in a timeframe designated by management. The position may require periodic travel throughout Huntington's footprint. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, planning, and follow-up. Excellence in customer service, highly motivated, focused and goal oriented. Ability to work independently and in groups on multiple tasks without compromising quality. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and internet resources.
