% C&I portfolio, with typical deal sizes ranging from $1MM-$1.5MM. Support a team of commercial lenders managing a high-volume pipeline of active commercial opportunities. Spread financial statements, perform global cash flow analysis, and assess risk for new originations, renewals, and annual reviews. Prepare comprehensive, decision-ready credit memos for complex underwriting requests, along with concise write-ups for streamlined transactions. Present credit analysis and recommendations to senior credit leadership and credit committee. Work directly with commercial lenders to clarify deal structure, gather information, and formulate recommendations. Assist with onboarding, mentoring, and reviewing the work of junior credit analysts. Provide leadership coverage and departmental support when needed. Maintain strong underwriting quality while supporting efficient turnaround times and responsive service levels.
Qualifications:
5+ years of commercial credit analysis or commercial underwriting experience. Current or recent community bank experience strongly preferred. Strong commercial real estate underwriting experience, including investor-owned, owner-occupied, construction, or related property types.
